The first and most noticeable change in the updated Gmail is the interface. It has been fully adapted to Material Design, and now the application looks cool and modern, like most of the software from Google.
Another important update is a little less obvious, but no less useful. Gmail now has the "Cancel Sending" feature, which has been functioning perfectly in Inbox for some time. Now, after sending the email, you will have about 5-7 seconds to change your mind and return it back. Of course, in the vast majority of cases, this feature will not be useful to you, but it is likely that one day you will accidentally send a letter to the wrong place / the wrong one / with the wrong text and the return function will come in handy. By the way, in the Android version of Gmail, it is impossible to cancel sending until now.
Now is the time to mention other useful innovations. Firstly, the app has become much more agile. Secondly, the mail search tries to anticipate your request as early as possible and works faster, as does the function of correcting typos when entering text.
And finally, the updated Gmail has the ability to delete or archive emails using a swipe in one direction or another.
Gmail for iOS has become much more pleasant to use. And if you've avoided it before, now is the time to take a closer look.
