Amazon has shown the first trailer for the drama "House by the Road" — a remake of the 1989 film of the same name starring Patrick Swayze. In the modern version, the main role was played by Jake Gyllenhaal.
The film was directed by Doug Lyman, known for the action films "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" and "The Bourne Identity." He promises the audience a new look at the classic story.
The plot of the film tells about a former UFC fighter who is forced to work as a bouncer in a small bar in Missouri. There he runs into a local gang.
In the original, the hero was not an athlete. Let's remember the trailer for this classic:
In addition to Gyllenhaal, Billy Magnussen, Lucas Gage, Daniela Melchior and Darren Barnett starred in the new drama. The famous mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Conor McGregor will also appear in it. Recently, he even posted a photo with the performer of the main role.
"House by the Road" will be released on March 21 on Prime Video. Interestingly, Amazon originally planned to release the picture on the big screen, but recently announced the premiere only on streaming.
