Standing water is an ideal breeding ground for mosquitoes. First of all, cover the barrels or other watering containers with lids. Pour out the liquid from buckets, watering cans, garden figurines, basins and other items that are rarely used and can collect moisture. If possible, try to drain the puddles. And to prevent their appearance in the future, it may be necessary to fill the depressions with sand or soil and carefully tamper.
If your plot is decorated with a small homemade pond, try to change the water in it weekly. In the case when the structure is voluminous or for some reason it is impossible to replace the liquid, use special biological products. As for the pool, make sure that the water in it is always clean, and pour a new one as needed. Wash the bottom and walls regularly using cleaning products. And if you do not use the pool, for example because of the weather, it is better to cover it with a special awning.
It is important not only to maintain a neat appearance of the lawn, but also to periodically shorten the vegetation throughout the site. Mow grass and weeds along fences and buildings, under shrubs and trees. Do not allow the appearance of thickets even in the most unsettled and hidden from the eyes corners of your site.
Mosquitoes react sharply to some odors. If you plant crops in the garden and vegetable garden that exude persistent and characteristic aromas, it is very likely to scare away unwanted insects. For example, decorate the plot with lavender, basil, marigolds.
The simplest device consists of an ultraviolet lamp, the light of which mosquitoes fly, and then fall into a container trap. The more expensive options are equipped with a grid that is electrically energized. When touched with it, the mosquito instantly dies and falls into the pallet.

Traps come in different sizes. More options can be placed in different corners of the site. However, this way of fighting mosquitoes is unlikely to be budget-friendly. But for installation in the gazebo and other recreation areas, one small device is quite enough.

Bait for mosquitoes can be made from improvised means.
1. Unscrew the bottle cap, it will not be needed. Cut off the top of the container with a sharp knife, as shown in the picture.
2. Pour about 200 ml of water with a temperature of 35-40 degrees into the bottom of the bottle. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar and stir thoroughly so that all the crystals dissolve.

Many drugs contain cypermethrin, which depresses the nervous system of mosquitoes, which leads them to paralysis and death. The method of application of such means is similar: you need to prepare a working solution according to the instructions on the package, pour it into a sprayer and treat the area. First of all, pay attention to storm drains, gutters, reservoirs and marshy places, and then spray the walls of buildings, fences, thickets, barren trees and shrubs.
For the processing of fruit crops, it is better to take biological products, for example, based on geraniol. Such compounds do not accumulate in berries and fruits, therefore it is safer for humans.
