A NASA rover has found a Starfleet symbol from the Star Trek series on Mars

NASA Curiosity rover discovered ‘Star Trek’ on Mars? Curiosity rover spots Starfleet symbol on Red Planet / Space there is a stone on Mars with a bizarre shape that looks very similar to the delta-shaped Starfleet logo from the Star Trek series.

The familiar symbol was printed using the left navigation camera on January 9th. The agency published the images in the form in which they were received — without any processing.

The black-and-white shots were taken on a flat block of dark rock, which makes the lighter stone stand out clearly against the background of Martian sand.

This is not the first funny photo from the Red Planet. Before that, the rover had encountered "donut", "avocado" and even "bear".
