All three options do not require any culinary skills. The longest part of this process is baking in the oven, during which you can rest a little and pour yourself something hot or intoxicating.
Recipe #1. Chicken in paprika
Ingredients: 2 tablespoons smoked or simply paprika, 2 teaspoons melted butter, 1 teaspoon ground garlic, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, 1 chicken. For watering: 4 tablespoons of honey and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
Preparation.
- Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius, rinse the chicken well with cold water and dry with a paper towel.
- Mix paprika, garlic, melted butter, salt and pepper. Rub the whole chicken with this mixture and put it on a baking tray.
- Melt the honey and mix with lemon juice. Set aside.
- Place the chicken in the oven and bake for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. After 35 minutes, pour the honey-lemon mixture over the chicken and continue watering it every 15 minutes until ready. The bird will be ready when a transparent, not pink, liquid appears at the puncture site.
Recipe #2. Chicken baked with herbs
Ingredients: 1 medium-sized chicken, salt, ground black pepper, 2-2.5 cups finely chopped fresh herbs (basil, parsley, thyme, marjoram or oregano), 1/4 cup olive oil, 1 lemon, cut in half, 4 bay leaves, 1 sprig rosemary.
Preparation.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius, rinse the chicken with cold water and dry with a paper towel.
- Rub the chicken inside with salt. Gently lift the skin in the brisket area and try to rub the chicken under the skin with as much chopped herbs, salt and a little olive oil as possible.
- Put lemon halves, bay leaves, rosemary and the remaining chopped herbs inside the chicken.
- Rub the chicken on top with salt, pepper and olive oil and send it to the oven. Periodically turn the chicken so that it is well baked.
- Enjoy the result.
Recipe #3. Chicken with rosemary and lemon
Ingredients: 1 medium-sized chicken, 1/2 finely chopped onion, 2 cloves of garlic, 1/2 lemon, 2-3 sprigs of rosemary, 1 tablespoon of a mixture of Provencal herbs.
Preparation.
- Preheat the oven to 225 degrees, rinse the chicken in cold water, dry with a paper towel and remove all fat.
- Rub the chicken inside and out with salt, pepper and herbs.
- Squeeze the juice out of the lemon and rub the outer surface of the chicken with it.
- Put the squeezed lemon and rosemary inside the chicken and send it to bake until ready (50-60 minutes).
