Kevin became interested in interval fasting, inspired by the example of Hugh Jackman, who used this method to lose weight while preparing for the role of Wolverine. Resorting to a daily 16-hour fast, Kevin lost more than two kilograms in just a week.

The Zero app was created as an easy way to monitor fasting time throughout the day. It already has two customized methods: the first is based on circadian rhythms, the second is based on the popular 5:2 diet. In addition, you can add your own scheme with individually set intervals.

It is recommended to use fasting based on circadian rhythms. It is based on research by Dr. Satchidananda Panda from the Salk Institute, who advises fasting for 13 hours a day, refusing to eat immediately after sunset. Using geolocation, Zero determines the time of sunset with the highest possible accuracy and automatically records the hours when you eat and when you don't.

It works like this. For example, if today the sun set at 18:00, and you started to starve at 20:00, the application will start the countdown and immediately deduct the 2 hours in which you had time to eat. The countdown button will have to be pressed manually.

The goal of Zero is to reduce snacks and meals after sunset to a minimum and achieve 13 (or 16) hours of fasting per day. The application keeps very detailed statistics that can be exported to iCloud and other services.

The app is completely free and does not contain in-app purchases. Zero is only available for iOS.
