There are many ways to motivate yourself to do work. For this, there are strict bosses, tight deadlines and curious colleagues. And what if you work with a team scattered throughout the country or the world? What if you want to be in close virtual communication with your workmates or want to monitor your child's computer activity? Developers of the SnoopOn service.Me is offered to install a small utility on the computer, taking screenshots at regular intervals and sending them to a web service http://snoopon.me /.
If you decide to experiment, then feel free to click "Join Today", enter the e-mail address and download the program itself (unfortunately, at the moment there is a client only for Windows) weighing 1.69 MB. To work with Little Snoop, you need to register on SnoopOn.Me — login, e-mail and repeat the password twice. That's it, the program is running and ready for use.
From a technical point of view, the operation of the service looks like this — the installed program takes screenshots with a frequency of 5, 10 or 30 minutes and puts them on the site. Before publishing, screenshots are reduced in size, making most of the text inaccessible to reading. Unregistered users see screenshots of even smaller sizes and cannot visit profiles. Only the 48 most recent snapshots are stored in the user profile.
Setting up Little Snoop involves only selecting one of the above screenshot creation time intervals and stopping the program. From this side, the program looks rather not like a trainer pulling you up, but like a real bloodhound, indiscriminately sniffing out everything that is happening on our computer display.
SnoopOn.Me differs in its social components from various keyloggers and other programs that take screenshots:
Personally, I would not use Little Snoop when working with text documents, correspondence by mail, when entering passwords and any other office activity. Who knows, maybe full-fledged and readable screenshots are stored on the server. On the other hand with SnoopOn.It's interesting for me to spy on other users (the developer of the service, the author of this note), and you can share with the world what games you play or watch movies, TV shows, how your desktop looks like and what wallpapers are used. Will you try SnoopOn.Me ?
