There are special liquid detergents for washing thermal underwear and sportswear. They effectively remove impurities, including sweat stains, eliminate unpleasant odors and gently affect the fibers of the fabric.
Regular laundry gels are also suitable. They dissolve well in water and, unlike powders, are well washed out of fabric, especially when hand-washed.
If there is wool in the thermal underwear, you can use special gels for washing woolen products or delicate fabrics. A mild shampoo for hair is also quite suitable for cleaning things by hand.
In any case, make sure that there are no bleaches, stain removers and chlorine in the composition of the selected product. These components can spoil the fabric from which the thermal underwear is made.
And even with manual and machine washing, you should not use conditioners and rinses. These products can get clogged into the fibers of the fabric, which is why thermal underwear will lose its properties.
Add detergent to the powder intake compartment . Select the "delicate wash", "hand wash" or "wool" mode, or adjust the parameters yourself.
Anyway, the machine wash temperature should not exceed 30 degrees, unless the manufacturer has indicated other values on the label. Set the minimum spin speed, and also disable automatic drying, if such a function is available in your equipment.
Start the machine, wait for the end of the process, and then send the laundry to dry.
Pour cold or lukewarm water into the basin. Dissolve the detergent in it, following the recommended dosage in the instructions, or shampoo for hair at the rate of 1 tablespoon per 1 liter of liquid.
Immerse the thermal underwear in water. It is not necessary to soak it for a long time — a couple of minutes is enough. Carefully wipe off dirt, trying not to stretch or rub the product too intensively.
Rinse thoroughly thermal underwear in cold running water.
Then remove the excess liquid by slightly squeezing the thing, but not twisting it. You can also wrap thermal underwear in a terry towel and remove the water with pressing movements.
The best and most gentle way is to spread a towel on a flat horizontal surface, put thermal underwear on it, straighten the fabric with your hands and let it dry completely naturally. At the same time, it is important that the item is not exposed to direct sunlight.
Do not hang thermal underwear on dryers, hangers and batteries, otherwise it may deform and lose its properties.
