Analysts of Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) have published an interesting new report. It is dedicated to the reasons why Android smartphone users are switching to the iPhone. These were the main reasons.

Illustration: CIRP
  • Problems with the previous smartphone — 53%. The old device did not work correctly due to outdated software, the need for repair or defects that affected the use of the device.
  • New features — 26%. Users wanted a better camera, compatibility with specific accessories, or a more intuitive system interface.
  • Price — 15%. The buyer spent less on an iPhone than on an Android device with similar capabilities.
  • Community connection — 6%. We are talking about users who need an iPhone to communicate with friends or family via iMessage or FaceTime.

It is quite logical that the US market research does not reflect global trends. The USA has some of the cheapest iPhones in the world, which can also be obtained almost for free when using certain tariffs of telecom operators. Meanwhile, in Russia, the demand for the iPhone is rapidly declining — due to the high price, as well as the unavailability of applications and functions.
