In the test builds of Windows 11, available on the Dev and Canary channels (11.2306.28.0 and 11.2306.30.0), appeared Background Removal in Paint begins rolling out to Windows Insiders / Windows Blog updated Paint. One of the main improvements of the application is the function of removing background from images.
The innovation works literally in one click — you just need to select the background removal function on the left side of the toolbar of the graphic editor, after which Paint itself will determine the main object and cut out the background.
Microsoft also clarifies that the user can manually select the part of the background that he wants to remove. This makes the tool more flexible for complex images.
Such a feature may cause a positive response from Windows users, since similar features in other applications are not so convenient. Canva, for example, provides background removal only with paid access, and Adobe Express requires you to create an account for this.
It is also reported that in addition to the new background removal tool, Microsoft is already testing an image generator based on a text description.
