Microsoft has launched the Phone Link ("Phone Connection") and Link to Windows ("Windows Connection") applications for syncing smartphones with Windows computers. To make everything work, it's enough to put a Phone Link on your computer, and a Link to Windows on your smartphone. So far, this bundle has only worked with Samsung, Honor and Microsoft Surface Duo smartphones (plus, suddenly, the iPhone), but soon the list of compatible devices will expand.
At the Oppo developer conference, representatives of Oppo and Microsoft announced Microsoft Phone Link and Link to Windows support coming to OPPO, OnePlus and Realme Android devices / MSPowerUser that the Windows bundle will soon appear on Oppo, OnePlus and Realme Android smartphones. In particular, the Windows Communication app will be pre-installed on smartphones running on ColorOS 14 or OxygenOS 14 and newer versions.
"Phone connection" allows you to interact with applications and files on a smartphone from a computer via Wi-Fi. Once connected, you can launch applications, reply to messages, view photos, and connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot on your smartphone without additional confirmation.
It is not yet known at what point the "Windows Connection" will appear on compatible smartphones: it is likely that it will be displayed after upgrading to ColorOS 14 or OxygenOS 14, or when buying a new smartphone on which the current firmware version is preinstalled.
