Useful information about Google Calendar: different time zones and offline work

The confusion associated with the difference in time zones can cause a lot of problems. A simple example: you live in Moscow and plan to travel to various cities of the country, recording everything in the Google Calendar. There is very little time to prepare, so it was not possible to fully plan the schedule, places and times of visits in advance. You have to create an action plan literally on the go, for example, just before flights. And so you arrive in a city that is in a different time zone, and you find that the time of the events has changed, since the calendar automatically adjusts the time depending on your position. How to avoid such a situation?

Setting the time zone for the event will save you from such problems. So, go to our Google calendar and create a new event.

When creating a new event, after entering the name, date and time of the event, just click on the Time zone item.

Specify the belt in which the place of the future event is located.

Basically, you're tying an event to a specific time zone. Google Calendar will take care of everything else by itself. Let's say you live in Moscow and have agreed with your friend from Krasnoyarsk to meet tomorrow at 20:00. You enter this time in the calendar, and specify the time zone in which Krasnoyarsk is located. We hope that this advice will help you.

And Google Calendar can now be used offline. To do this, go to the calendar page, click on Settings in the upper right corner and select Offline. A window will appear in front of you with information about the available calendar functions in offline mode, and you will also be asked to install a special application from the Crome online store (for free). Remember that in offline mode you will not be able to create new events, but you will be able to view already created ones, as well as respond to invitations.
