Recent events with hurricanes in the USA, a tsunami in Thailand and a terrible man-made disaster in Japan show that everyone should be ready for this. Why go far, and there was such a radiation disaster in our region that the whole world still remembers.
So, what should you have with you if you leave the house for a long time with the installation that you may not be able to return to it in the near future?
The items listed below should be packed in a relatively water-proof backpack with a zipper.
– necessary medicines for your survival (antibiotics, diabetes medications, asthma medications, ...);
– things for spending the night – a tent and sleeping bags, or at least a blanket and tarpaulin protection;
– several liters of bottled water and, preferably, water purification devices for its further extraction;
– high–calorie bars that do not require additional preparation – protein bars, peanut butter, sneakers, ...;
- first aid kit, sanitary accessories and hygiene supplies (bandages, iodine, alcohol, cotton swabs, tourniquet, ...);
– means for making fire and metal utensils for boiling water and cooking hot food;
– simple tools such as a knife, sticky tape, rope, ...;

– spare dry clothes suitable for the weather;
– a flashlight with spare batteries;
– cash;
– a copy of all important files for your family and family jewels.
Such an emergency backpack is recommended to be stored near the door, in the office and in the car. It seems paranoid, but it really can save the only life given to you.
