Apple has officially announced the purchase of Primephonic — an application for streaming classical music. The acquisition will allow the company to expand the library of classical compositions in its own services.
In the near future, more classic songs and Primephonic playlists will appear in Apple Music, which will be available to all subscribers. And next year Apple is going to release a separate classical music service with a convenient search for compositions and authors, metadata and other functions.
From now on, the possibility of subscribing to Primephonic is disabled, the service will stop working from September 7. Subscribers can apply for a refund and get a free 6-month subscription to Apple Music.
