Producer Amy Pascal informed that three films on the spider universe are in development. The first one will be dedicated to Spider-Man Miles Morales. This is a dark-skinned teenager who appeared in the comics after the death of Peter Parker.
Miles is the main character of the dilogy of full-length animated films "Spider-Man: Through the Universes" and "Web of Universes". He is also a playable character in Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and appears in Marvel Spider-Man 2.
In the cinema, Morales is unlikely to replace Tom Holland's Spider, since a new film with him and Zendaya is also in development. This was confirmed by Amy Pascal, adding that the production of the picture is due to the strike of the screenwriters.
And the third upcoming Spider project is an animated feature film about Spider—Woman. Producer Avi Arad noted that moviegoers will see this picture earlier than they expect. It has probably been in development for a long time and may be released in the coming year.
The producers told reporters these details at the premiere of the animated film "Spider-Man: Web of Universes", which was released on May 31. And the reviews for the picture are very positive — the rating on Metacritic is now 87 points out of 100 based on 37 reviews. Are you planning to watch?
