Tuaw columnist, Dave Caolo, writes that according to unofficial data provided by the App Shopper resource, the Apple App Store online store already has 100 thousand applications approved by the Apple team. App Shopper just does what it lists and describes all the apps that appear in the App Store, their updates and prices.
So, according to the data provided by App Shopper, 93118 applications are available for sale in Apple's online app store, and the company has already approved 101,847 applications for sale. So as soon as the number of applications sold reaches hundreds of thousands, we should expect an official announcement about this by Apple representatives.
Only a month ago, it was announced that there are 85 thousand applications in the App Store that have been downloaded billions of times (to be more precise, two billion). However, it does not indicate how many of the two billion downloaded applications are free, and what percentage are paid developments.
This scale of work means that even despite some problems and developers' dissatisfaction caused by the long approval deadlines for their products, the App Store continues to thrive and attract users.
