News. And again, scientists delight us with their research in the field of health. This time they tested the theory that if you imagine that you are eating high-calorie food, although in fact you are drinking a smoothie from vegetables, you will still feel full.

Experiment. The subjects were divided into two groups and given cocktails to drink. Cocktails were given to everyone of the same caloric content, but one group was told that they were given low-calorie cocktails, and the second group was given high-nutrient cocktails. As a result, people from the second group were saturated faster than from the first. Before and after each test, blood was taken from people for analysis. The main attention was paid to the hormone ghrelin, which is the notorious feeling of hunger.

The level of ghrelin is a kind of signal to our brain about the level of satiety of the body. Scientists have suggested that it is possible that when people eat healthy food and think of it as high-calorie, their body is saturated faster and as a result it extracts more nutrients from healthy food than if we continued to think of carrots as just carrots, and not as, for example, a cupcake.

Perhaps, if we continue to study in more detail the power of suggestion when eating, it will be possible to find a solution to hormonal problems with weight and study the body's reaction to various foods.
