Mediascope research company shared Fairy tales and Soviet cinema replaced "Harry Potter" and "Home Alone" during the holidays / RBC data on the most popular films during the New Year holidays in Russia. Statistics show views from January 1st to 8th.
This year, all 20 places were taken by domestic paintings. Almost all of them were shown on the air of Rossiya 1 or Pervy. The only exception was "Ivan Vasilyevich changes everything" on TNT.
So, the list was headed by "Cheburashka". His rating was 10.2%, and the audience share was 33.3%. The Hunchback Horse came in second place. The indicators of the fairy tale are as follows: rating 6.5%, audience share — 24%. The top three were closed by "Challenge" with a rating of 5.2% and an audience share of 17.4%.
The top 20 also included "The Slave", "The Last Hero: Messenger of Darkness", "Baba Moroz and the mystery of the New Year". There are also Soviet classics in it: "Moscow does not believe in tears", "Ivan Vasilyevich changes his profession" and "Morozko".
Mediascope did not provide a complete list. The company only noted that for the first time in 5 years there is not a single foreign picture in the rating, including the previously popular "Harry Potter". Until 2022, almost all parts of the franchise that were released on the STS were traditionally present in the rating. This can be explained by the fact that they disappeared from the air this year.
