When there is a feeling of hunger, it falls asleep very badly, it has been tested many times and by many. If it's already night, it's better to drink a glass of hot milk. Well, or, at least, drown it out with a couple of mugs of water at least.
When you can't sleep, any position will seem uncomfortable. But still, you should not put one part of the body on top of another, because the lower one will start to go numb, and this is more annoying than something else.
You can either turn on relaxing music, or, if there is no such possibility, turn it on in your head. And carefully, trying to reproduce each instrument, not forgetting the drums. In general, concentrate on the music, which after a while will give a relaxing effect for the mind.
Watch your breathing. Try to breathe slowly and evenly. Yoga breathing is for those who know. Or try to bring it closer to the breathing of the sleeper. And even better, soothing breathing with a short pause after exhalation (with empty lungs).
Well, the option to count sheep is also not bad, of course ... :) In general, the main task is to relax the mind that is used to controlling everything. To do this, you need to distract yourself from thoughts to solve some specific task, such as the same music or counting sheep jumping over the fence. You can come up with something of your own that will be more suitable for you.
