So why not give jogging a little more meaning? ;)
We use the Endomondo platform, which allows us to create such competitions and automatically identify the winner. You are required to have an account and enter the Lifehacker Cup competition and all your uploaded runs will automatically be included in the overall standings. Endomondo users are especially lucky — they don't need to change anything, just keep running! Only runs are counted in the standings.
Walking or cycling does not qualify.
You can run anywhere in the world, it doesn't matter at all. Just run!
In fact, so do I. I usually use a Runkeeper and a GPS watch. You can upload your runs to Endomondo in a pack or one at a time. If you have a watch, then just upload new tracks here.
If you use Runkeeper or Strava, they allow you to export the data uploaded to them into GPX files that Endomondo will happily swallow. Data export from Runkeeper takes place here:
If you have Strava, then you can export each run there separately like this:
If you have Nike+, then ... I do not know what to do :) It seems that this "gasoline" system does not allow you to export activities.
By the way, we will be grateful for help in the comments about other systems you use and exporting GPX data from them.
You can take part in this competition not only for the sake of prizes, but also because you can ask each other questions, find new routes in your city and who you can run with on weekends, from whom to learn something !
