A simple creation of a new profile will help us:
1. Launch Firefox and save the browser bookmarks as a separate file on your hard disk (if you still store them in the browser).
2. On the command line (in Windows: Start/Start – Run/Execute) type «firefox.exe –P», as shown in the screenshot:
3. Click the Create Profile button/Create a Profile without making any changes to an existing one (by default – default).
Now if you start working in Firefox under a new profile, you will be pleasantly surprised by the speed. If necessary, move the bookmarks (see point 1). Of course, the new profile will not have all the extensions that were in the old one, but the issue of slowing down will be resolved.
Naturally, if you wish, you can return to your old profile at any time in the same way.
