The good weather, unfortunately, deteriorated and the prolonged autumn rains began. As a beginner, I immediately had a question about whether it was possible to run in the rain, what would be the consequences of such a run and if so, how and in what? Not to mention additional motivation, since the idea that you will have to run in such weather does not cause much joy. So I decided to look for information... and found it! Running in rainy and cool weather strengthens the immune system, provided, of course, that you are dressed in the right clothes and shoes. This is the end of my excuses, and the phrase needs to be printed out and hung in a frame in the most visible place.
So, the very first thing to do correctly is to get dressed. Do not put on a large number of layers of clothing, because if you run in the rain, then all your clothes will get wet and it will be even colder for you.
Ideally, there should be two layers of clothing — the one that fits the body, and outerwear. Of course, it would be better if the first layer was thermal underwear or sportswear made of a special fabric that dries quickly and allows the body to breathe (CoolMax, Supplex, Tactel). Outerwear: it is better to put a cap on your head so that the drops do not interfere with looking at the road, sneakers are better with a non-slip sole and a windbreaker is put on the very top, which will not let moisture through and at the same time allow the body to breathe. I had such a windbreaker and pants by Hanna — tested on a hike.
If you decide to run in winter, then you should prepare more thoroughly: winter sneakers (or triathlon shoes), all the same thermal underwear, a hat (headband, headphones) and a fleece jacket, either fleece sweatpants or T-shirts on your feet.
And if you don't have special equipment, then just dress according to the weather, don't overdo it with layers of clothing (if you sweat or get wet, you will freeze even more immediately after running: a warm shower (hot bath) and, of course, warm tea.
Don't get sick and run wisely ;)
