a man watching the stars through a telescopeMost recently, we discussed at a Life Hacker what kind of education to prefer for your child: regular school or home, when you become teachers yourself. But in both cases, it is very important to interest the child in the learning process so that he sees not only dry words and numbers from textbooks, but also the real very interesting world that stands behind them. Take astronomy, for example. There is not a single person among my acquaintances who would say that this was his favorite subject, and I was often bored in class. What could be interesting about memorizing the names and sizes of stars and their distance from Earth?

But if these same stars were shown to us through a telescope, then science would acquire real outlines and would become much more interesting. But such observations were not carried out at school, and no one could even think about a home telescope, not only because it is insanely expensive, but also because it is too complicated to set up equipment. And even if by some miracle it would be in the hands of a schoolboy, it is unlikely that he would be able to see something.

Now the concept of such equipment is changing, and the telescope no longer seems to be something completely unattainable. We have found a series of telescopes for novice astronomers Levenhuk Strike PLUS – telescopes of decent quality at an affordable price. And, importantly, such a device is simple and convenient to use: it works out of the box, you will need to set a minimum of settings.

Of course, looking through such a telescope is hardly possible to discover a new distant star, but, nevertheless, a lot can be seen in it. Even the simplest Levenhuk Strike 90 PLUS model allows you to view not only lunar craters, but also the landscapes of Mars, the rings of Saturn and the moons of Jupiter. And more serious models allow you to see distant nebulae, double stars and comets.

Looking at the starry sky can become a real hobby for the whole family. In an extended configuration, the device also comes with a book and a map of the sky. So, if you somehow missed astronomy during your years of study, now you can catch up with interest. Also included with the device is a bag, so you can take it with you to nature. Away from the city lights, the stars seem much closer and brighter.

Levenhuk is so fond of stars that they even released a funny umbrella with which even in the rainiest weather there will be a clear starry sky over your head!
