Many underestimate the importance of gratitude in life. It is important to say "thank you" to your family, loved ones and loved ones for everything: for support in difficult times, for understanding, for a fun evening, for a cooked dinner. And it is equally important to thank life itself, providence, yourself and your activity — call it what you like — for what you have at the moment.
The path of a modern entrepreneur is not an easy choice, burdened with obstacles, losses, risks. But at the same time, this choice gives a rare chance to achieve everything that the one who made it craves. In moments of adversity and trials, you should not give in to apathy, allow yourself to think that life is passing by, and you have nothing, everything is bad and it will always continue like this. At such moments, you just need to sit down and remember the good things that you already have. And it definitely is. Fill yourself with gratitude for this. And then your good mood will return and you will have the strength to accomplish new things.
So, if you have your own business, then you need to be grateful that:
- You work until one o'clock in the morning, and you still like it.
- Your other half supports you in your occupation, despite all the risks and uncertainties that are inevitably associated with running a business.
- There are products such as MacBook, Basecamp, Google Apps, Yandex.SDA, Elba, My Business, Button, and even 1C that make your work easier and more convenient (yes, and even 1C).
- You do not need to be in the office strictly from 9:00 to 18:00.
- Customers transfer money to your checking account.
- You always pay salaries, rent and taxes on time, without delay.
- When your company has problems with sales, friends "throw you a circle" by buying something.
- You can manage your company with just a laptop.
- Parents are proud of you and your work.
- Your cofounders are moving you for the better by their personal example.
- You can do whatever business you want.
- There are such books as Rework, "And Nerds do Business", "Steve Jobs".
- Your success is measured not by the number of businesses, but by their quality.
- Your engineers don't behave like assholes. :)
- Your managers understand modern technologies and do not ask stupid questions to engineers.
- Investors and shareholders understand that their point of view is not the only correct one.
- You meet people who help you without expecting anything in return.
- Customers send you thank-you letters.
- Customers pay you for your products.
- You have never been accused of cheating and buying traffic for the site.
- Your kids love you even though you leave early in the morning and come back late at night.
- Your product occupies its own segment in the market.
- You are familiar with rich people who do not flaunt their wealth.
- Customers make your life easier, not harder.
- There are entrepreneurs who are willing to sleep in their car or on chairs in the office if it helps to lead their product to success.
- There are people who never give up.
- Your company is alive, healthy and even thriving. You can confidently say that this will continue for another day, week, month…
Isn't this happiness?
