Among Macradar readers there are probably users of one of the most popular photo hosting sites Flickr. It is not by chance that I belong to this category of users and dedicate this post to you.
Working with Flickr on Mac is made easier by using a free photo downloader that can be taken at this address. Managing it comes down to a few clicks: drag photos to the Photos column, put down titles, descriptions and tags. And click the Upload button. If desired, you can also use batch operations with photos: add them to some photo set, set the privacy level, set common tags for photos. Flickr Uploadr also perfectly reproduces photos without loss of quality, which is not uncommon among such programs.
iPhoto users can use the paid FlickrExport plugin . By the way, this plugin can immediately post to different flickr groups. Unfortunately, I was not able to test its functionality. The same developer also offers lite-free and paid versions of the plug-in for Aperture.
Adobe Lightroom owners are also not deprived, and for them you just need to add an alias to the installed Flickr Uploadr to the folder:
/users/your_account/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Export Actions
And when exporting photos from LR, you will have the Flickr Uploadr option. There are also other options, they are constantly discussed in the Adobe Lightroom Flickr group.
The Geek audience is also not deprived. To meet their needs, there is a plugin for Quicksilver. Its use boils down to finding photos on the computer to upload and selecting the option Upload to flickr [with Tags]...
Of course, these are not all programs and options for exporting and uploading photos to Flickr from our Macs. Others will be discussed later in the reviews on Macradar. So stay in touch and don't disappear from our radar! Your comments and additions are welcome!
