This phrase — "Don't kill me, Ivan Tsarevich, I'll still be useful to you!" - can be called the cherished phrase of all copywriters, since it contains a universal formula of persuasion.
Can't you remember writing something like that? Let's think together, the first thing that comes to mind: a request for a salary increase, for the allocation of additional funds for a project or work equipment, a letter to an investor or to a charity organization, and even your resume in some sense should be a selling text. After all, you want to sell your skills and talents as profitably as possible. I'm sure you can think of a few more similar examples.
So the book "We write convincingly. A copywriter for himself" can be safely recommended to absolutely everyone. This is also supported by the fact that it is written in a fairly simple and easy language and seasoned with good humor, which is everywhere to the place. Despite the simplicity of the language, the design of the letter is disassembled into the smallest details. Separate chapters are devoted to the beginning of the letter, its middle and the end. The author tells how to unobtrusively push the recipient of the letter to the action that you have conceived.
You will also learn how to write with "live" phrases and avoid that "clerical" language that is so difficult to read and perceive.
All the techniques described in the book are supported by real-life examples. Since the author, Sasha Karepina, is a successful copywriter herself, she has more than enough of these examples. In addition, readers are invited to independently perform several exercises on writing the text.
In fact, the book "We write convincingly. A copywriter for himself" will be useful to you even if you are used to solving issues in a personal conversation. It seemed to me that many of the tips in it echo the recommendations of the notorious communication specialist Dale Carnegie. I especially liked the chapter on how to talk to the reader's soul, how to choose arguments that will affect his feelings and emotions. I am already trying to put the knowledge I have gained into practice and understand that they really work, although, of course, there is still a lot of work to do, but the foundations have already been laid by Sasha Karepina's book.
I must admit, I have not listed even half of the utilities that can be found in the book. It pays attention even to such a thing as text formatting. This is very important both when writing a text and when writing a letter, however, many, very many neglect the formatting rules, killing even good texts.
Naturally, as in all books from Mann, Ivanov and Ferber, good content is enclosed in an appropriate frame. The book is nice to hold in your hands. There are few illustrations, all of them are made in the technique of pencil drawing. They do not distract attention from the text, but at the same time they are interesting to consider. It is as if the living hand of the artist is felt. And, of course, I was pleased with the practical and convenient bookmark ribbon.
Summarizing all of the above, I can say that I highly recommend Sasha Karepina's book "We write convincingly". If someone has already read it, share your impressions in the comments. Very interesting.
"We write convincingly. I am my own copywriter", Sasha Karepina
