An interesting book about how to build your relationships with people from a psychiatrist and a coach of police negotiators.
The book was published by Mann, Ivanov and Ferber, so, of course, I did not have any complaints about the quality of the publication (my favorite bookmark is the "flap" in place, so I am calm). The translation is also clean and smooth. In other words, it was a pleasure to read.
The book is divided into three main parts.
The first, "Nine main rules on how to establish contact with people" is a kind of ABC of communication. From it, you can learn about how the brain works during communication, what you need to do and how to behave in order to gain the favor of the interlocutor.
The second — "Twelve simple and quick techniques for achieving "purchases" and persuasion" are already full-fledged tips on how to make communication beautiful and useful.
The third part is devoted to the analysis of typical examples based on the techniques described in the previous two articles. It seemed to me the least interesting of the whole book.
The book reads easily and pleasantly, on average it can be "swallowed" in three hours. However, I do not advise doing so — otherwise reading will be useless. The peculiarity of "I hear you through and through!" is that the techniques from the book need to be put into practice, but you should not go into fanaticism and turn your communication into verbal judo. It is much more pleasant to use the described techniques "in a free style". And then your communication will become much more pleasant, meaningful and positive.
