If you use Microsoft Excel not only to fill rows and columns with long rows of numbers, but also use it for other purposes, for example, to create graphs and charts, then we hope that the following tips will be useful to you.

Quick view.

Having selected the columns and rows with the data on which the graph should be formed, click on F11. You will get your chart right away. It will be placed on the entire screen, which is very convenient.

To return to editing tables with data, use the tabs located at the bottom of the working field.

Chart design: background, color, labels, etc...

Being in full-screen mode, which we mentioned in the last paragraph, or by clicking twice on a chart already placed on the sheet, you will get into the graph style editing mode.

On the toolbar, which is located at the top of the screen, you will see the following buttons:

Change the chart type – how exactly your chart should look like: types: from histograms to petal charts.

Diagram layouts – various variants of diagrams of the selected type.

Chart styles – color design of the chart.

Move the diagram – if you are satisfied with the design of the diagram, click this button and paste the diagram into the sheet you need.

To return to editing tables with data, use the tabs located at the bottom of the working field.

Creating custom graph types.

If you constantly have to use the same type of schedule, and you are tired of making out the schedule again every time, then you can go a different way. Click a couple of times on the diagram with the mouse and, in the toolbar that appears at the top, click on "Save as template". After that, your chart will appear in the library of chart templates.

Commenting.

If you need to mark a particular table cell with a comment for yourself or for other users, then right-click on the desired cell and select "Insert note". A yellow field will appear near the cell, where you can write anything you want. The fact that the cell is provided with a comment is signaled by a red flag placed in the right corner of the cell. By moving the mouse to this checkbox, you (or someone else) will see the text you entered earlier.

Colorful names.

When you work with a large number of sheets, in order to make it easier to navigate them, it is reasonable not only to provide each sheet with a clear title, but also to paint the tab in some color. It's easy to do. Right-click on the bookmark and go to the "Label color" item.

Say no to standard charts.

Many users are so used to using standard charts that they don't even know about the existence of a huge number of other options. For example, like this:
Dig into the type library that will appear if you click on "Change diagram type" and you will find many wonderful and very beautiful diagrams. For example, such:
