Google is planning a major overhaul of its search engine. In particular, artificial intelligence-based tools will be added to it. This is stated in the internal documents of the corporation, which were at the disposal of The Wall Street Journal.

The company wants to gradually abandon the classic model with "ten blue links" in search results and make the service more focused on each individual.

In addition, short videos will appear in the search results. Thus, the company wants to remain relevant among young people who are used to receiving information in this format.

Promoting user—generated content is another strategy of the corporation. It is planned to add more posts from online forums, primarily Reddit.

It will not do without neural networks. Google will introduce a chatbot into the search , which will not only give more relevant results, but also display additional questions to the query to help users get more accurate and reliable information. In general, it will be possible to communicate with AI as with a living person. This project was codenamed Magi.

The company is expected to announce the launch of Magi at its I/O 2023 conference next week. The remaining aspects of the "search engine overhaul" should be implemented later this year.
