Google is testing a new homepage in the web version of "Disk". It will automatically display the "most important files and folders".
On this new page, users will see two channels at the top. In the "Suggested" Google will select documents that may be of interest to you. A separate column will even indicate why this file is offered. For example, this may be due to the fact that you or another user recently opened, uploaded or edited files — with the time and date specified.
The second channel is "Activity". It will display the latest files and folders with access requests or recent comments.
Now users open a list of "Disk" documents, modeled after a traditional file system. All the latest folders and images that have recently been used are immediately in front of my eyes. In the new version, to switch to this view, you will need to click on "My Disk" in the sidebar on the left.
The new Google Drive home screen is currently being tested with a group of users and will be implemented later.
