This year, Samsung has again used two different chips in its new flagships. The European Galaxy S24 and S24+, which are shipped to Russia, received the Exynos 2400, while Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 got only the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
There was initially little data about the new Exynos 2400, but now the manufacturer has shared Exynos 2400 / Samsung Semiconductor details. It turned out that this processor is very different from the Qualcomm analog.
Characteristics of Exynos 2400:
According to the manufacturer, the Exynos 2400 surpasses the chips of the previous generation by 1.7 times in CPU and 14.7 times in AI computing. Also, for the first time, new technologies were used in the processor to improve temperature control so that the smartphone warms up less in games — this is what past Exynos chips were often criticized for.
How the new processor will behave in real—world scenarios, especially in comparison with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, we will find out after detailed tests and comparisons, the results of which will probably appear online soon.
