Psi has always been respected in the Linux world: simple, free, stable, fast.
I have been following its development for more than a year. The other day it was updated. So what attracts me to him?
PSI has a minimalistic, but very elegant interface and, perhaps, the most advanced communication capabilities in the Jabber network. There are many amenities. This includes support for avatars and vCard contacts, easy and convenient connection and configuration of the server transports through which you communicate, group chats, support for multiple accounts, file transfer, multilingualism and cross-platform.There are branded chips, for example, automatic highlighting of certain words with their own color (you can create a dictionary of certain words and make their color individual, for example, red). There is a possibility of encryption via OpenPGP. Now the PSI interface supports the Qt4(gt;=4.2.3) and QCA2 libraries instead of Qt3 and QCA1, which made it even more beautiful. Changing icons and emoticons, fonts, automatic spell checking, open source code. I was pleased with the settings section, especially the hotkeys that are configured for all the main features of the client.
A great client for jabber-talkers. The latest version for Windows, Linux and macOS is here.
