Apple has announced the first sales results of the new iPhone models, which were presented on September 10. During the first weekend, the Cupertinos managed to sell 9 million (!) iPhone 5s and 5c — just a fantastic result. For comparison, during the same period last year, Apple sold 5 million iPhone 5. The results exceeded all the expectations of analysts who predicted sales of new iPhones at the level of last year.
In addition to iPhone sales data, Apple reported on the number of users who switched to iOS 7. There are already 200 million of them. This is double the rate of upgrades to iOS 6 last year.
CEO Tim Cook commented on the record sales results of the iPhone 5s/5c:
This is the best iPhone launch on the market in the history of Apple. During the first weekend, we sold more than 9 million iPhones and broke the sales record. The demand for new iPhones is incredibly high and we are working hard so that everyone can buy new iPhone models
The PR service of the Kupertinovites also shared the first results about the work of the iTunes Radio service — it is already used by more than 11 million listeners, which can also be considered a worthy result.
As we can see, things are not just going well for Apple. New iPhones are flying like hot cakes, users are massively switching to iOS 7 and enjoying iTunes Radio. It is worth paying tribute to the apple company and congratulating it on such excellent results.
