Xiaomi has released a new Ultra-Thin Power Bank 5000 mAh in China. As the name suggests, this is an ultra-thin power bank with a 5,000 mAh battery. With dimensions of 113 × 53 × 10 mm, it weighs only 93 grams. For comparison, the iPhone 15 weighs 201 grams, and the miniature Asus Zenfone 10 weighs 172 grams.
In order to reduce the weight and dimensions, Xiaomi had to simplify the design as much as possible: as a result, only one 20W USB-C port was left — it works both for input and output. The power bank itself is fully charged in 1.75 hours from an 18W adapter. There is a chip for recognizing the connected device: it provides low-current charging of small gadgets like headphones.
Although the nominal capacity of the battery is 5,000 mAh, its actual minimum capacity is 2,700 mAh. That's how much he will be able to charge a smartphone or headphones, the rest is "eaten up" by energy conversion and its transmission. In fact, the power bank can charge more — but definitely not less.
Xiaomi Ultra-Thin Power Bank 5000 mAh was estimated at 129 yuan (≈1,600 rubles). It has already gone on sale in China, and will probably appear on AliExpress soon.
