In early May, Microsoft released the KB5026361 update for Windows 10. The patch fixes a number of system security vulnerabilities, but in some cases causes new problems.
According to messages on forums, a blue "screen of death" appears periodically on some computers after the update. The errors are either related to the filter manager driver FltMgr.sys , or with bootcat.cache corruption. The second problem previously appeared in Windows 7.
Removing the latest Windows update patch helped many users. To do this, select "Settings" → "Update and Security" → "View Update log" → "Delete updates". Find KB5026361 in the list and select "Delete" in the context menu. It is also worth disabling auto-updates, otherwise the patch will return.
This is not the only issue related to the update. Some users also get error 0x800f0922 during installation, there are messages about hanging at the password entry stage and spontaneous restart of the computer.
Microsoft has not yet confirmed the existence of these problems, so it's too early to talk about a fix.
