It is probably impossible to single out any one stage of the GTD system as the most important. But I know for sure that an infinite number of errors are made at the processing stage, more often small ones, but they do not leave an opportunity to trust the system completely. As always in self-organization, most of these mistakes have human, psychological roots.
So, the list of errors:
In this note, I will focus on the third error in more detail. Often, when considering this or that introductory, there is an unwillingness to get involved with this particular task and the brain helpfully suggests a loophole in GDT that can be used to postpone the action.
But, postponing any task, you must fully realize what it is, you must understand that the task is really not related to your current projects and goals, otherwise you risk not achieving goals with the worst scenario development, or returning to unpleasant work again and again.
Here you can recall the popular slogan «Eat a frog », which calls for dealing with an unpleasant business in the first place, which will allow you to live the rest of the day in pleasure, because nothing worse can happen.
I am cautious about this concept and am not at all sure that this is definitely the right way to prioritize. But I will write about this in the following notes.
