Friends. The last few days we have been testing a new design at LX, catching errors. If you are used to reading us exclusively via RSS or in LiveJournal, then please take a minute and see how we have changed :)
Template. We have abandoned the BloggingPro theme and use our own template created from scratch. Different color scheme, more convenient page layout, output of similar articles. I hope you enjoy it all.
User accounts. Now only registered users can leave comments.
The main reason why we made this decision is a large stream of spam. Advertising garbage was regularly published by both bots and people. This has become an acute problem: there are a lot of comments every day, and manually filtering out "optimizers" and other "interior doors" is problematic — it takes time for articles. :)
Major foreign blogs have long introduced registration (in the American Lifehacker, it has existed since they were allowed to discuss tips, and the Weblogsinc network also refused "open" commenting). We are currently working on creating a unified authorization system.
Immersed in the work, we did not notice how the blog turned a year old. And it happened back in February. We managed to achieve a lot in this short period of time — now we have about 5500 subscribers only via RSS (not counting the mirror in LJ). Hopefully, you find the articles useful. We will try to work hard for you this year as well. I want to thank you, dear readers, for your comments, feedback, and advice. And, of course, many thanks to Vyacheslav Baransky, Denis Samarin, 9Val, Ve, Yantar.
