Universal Pictures is already working New ‘Jurassic World’ Movie in the Works With David Koepp Writing (Exclusive) on the new film of the Jurassic franchise — two years after the release of the film "Jurassic World: Domination", which received rather low ratings.
The script for the new film was written by David Koepp. He worked on the original "Jurassic Park" in 1993 and its sequel in 1997, as well as on "Spider-Man" with Tobey Maguire and the first action movie "Mission: impossible."
The new film does not have a director yet, but Frank Marshall, the producer who oversaw the Jurassic World trilogy, and joined the team.Steven Spielberg, who received the executive producer's chair.
It is unclear what form the next film will take, but it is known that it launches a "new Jurassic era" with a completely new storyline. This probably excludes the return of familiar characters played by Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, as well as veterans of the series in the person of Sam Neal, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum.
A new "Jurassic World" may be released as early as 2025.
