One of my first posts on the Demo blog was a story about IpplePlay – a wonderful music player by Russian developers. A year has passed since then, the Demo blog has changed, and this wonderful program reminded me of it – in August it was a year since its appearance, and in September the third beta was released. There are a lot of changes in the program, I will tell you about the main ones further.
Firstly, the core of the program has been improved: a new version of the BASS Library and plug-ins, support for Internet radio, the ability to configure the playback buffer. This primarily affected the stability of the player and the speed of operation – hangups and drops disappeared, the program works like clockwork. Secondly, the player got a normal library with support for albums in PNG format - something that was missing in the first betas.
Thirdly, a new micro mode has appeared. Now the player can be controlled via a single button on the screen.
And finally, a skin engine has appeared: now everyone can use the editor that comes with the player to make a skin.
From myself, I note that the player seems to me very unusual, original. Its management is very easy, portable, reproduces everything that a modern music lover needs (MP1, MP2, MP3, WAV, WMA, AIFF, OGG, FLAC, MIDI, MP4, AAC, AC3, APE, MPC, OFR, SPX, TTA, WV), we extend the BASS plug-ins. A very interesting program, the development of which I am following (the fourth beta is being prepared for release).
