According to data Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple has several services related to physical and mental health in development at once. Some functions may be presented already at the upcoming WWDC, others will have to wait until next year.
Here's what is known now:
The "Health" application will appear in iPadOS 17. Its main screen will display more data than on the iPhone — including health indicators, cardiogram results, medication data and more.
In "Health" on iPhone and iPad, a mood log will appear, as well as new functions for tracking eye health.
In 2024, it is planned to release a new service, which is currently being developed under the code name Quartz. This is an AI trainer that will motivate the user to train, improve nutrition and sleep. The service will rely on data from the Apple Watch to give more personalized advice and make individual training plans. Apple is going to charge a monthly fee for using it — that is, it will be another subscription.
Gurman notes that although the release of Quartz is planned for 2024, it may be postponed or canceled altogether. According to him, pressure measurement using an Apple Watch and glucose monitoring without needles are also in development now. Work has been going on on both functions for several years, there are no approximate release dates yet.
