It so happened that my life is subject to some hidden 6-year cycles. Around November 10, 2006, I suddenly quit smoking for everyone. I got rid of smoking (I'm very happy about it!) once and for all, but I paid for it by adding 20 kg. And from a guy like that:

In the process of fat accumulation, I had a lot of internal struggle and I even voiced this problem with a post about the mammonization of fathers. But, as you know, the male brain is very simple:

Otherwise, as a brain disease, I can't call my fat harvesting process :)

Around November 10, 2012, when the mysterious 6-year cycle ended, something suddenly clicked in my brain! It's time to lose weight. You can't go on like this. It's deadly dangerous to continue like this.

I was ready to grab at any straw, and, succumbing to the charm of experienced businessmen, :) bought cans of Energy Diet for several thousand rubles. When I brought all these cans home, I realized how I got there if I didn't lose at least one kilogram, even the dust near the computer would cease to respect me (I'm not talking about my wife and children). On the third day, I was already sick of these powders, but the weight, as if waiting for a move, quickly jerked down. The first five kg. were gone instantly:

I suspect that it was not so much the weight that fell, as the puffiness and swelling went away.

I refused the powders after five days – it was beyond my strength. It's creepy, but, nevertheless, I'm grateful to them for a brisk start. :) In addition, I realized that it is much easier and more useful to control normal, human food. I stopped eating bread, cookies with butter, sausage sandwiches at night, condensed milk, porridge with bread, tea with sugar, cakes, ice cream, etc. And in general, I began to study what they write on packages in terms of calories, proteins, fats and carbohydrates (KBZHU).

The story will be incomplete if I do not mention that simultaneously with the control of nutrition, I began to move my booty. First yoga for fat people, then I got on a bike, then, as the weight decreased, I ran. Every second time I naturally kicked myself off the couch, struggling with the endless fat-bashing mantra “Oh, how cold/dark/windy/wet it is outside! Maybe tomorrow?”And how wonderful it was for me after another bike ride, yoga ten minutes, jogging, a small but very important victory!

For the first time in my life, I bought winter tires for a bicycle. And there were even “Fat Albert” tires in stores in my honor!

Finally, friends began to notice that I lost weight, got younger, looked better and all that. It's so motivating! Of course, I regularly watched and watch motivational videos like this – Never, Ever Give Up. Arthur's Inspirational Transformation:

It helps a lot, you know! In addition, guys like Andrey from New Zealand (hello, friend!), Arkady from Australia, Yuri from Germany, Gez from Ireland, etc. are very motivating!

At the end of May, I got on the rollers for the first time in my life, and I liked it so much that we got on the rollers with the whole family, and I rolled 137 km in four months:

The process of getting rid of fat is always getting into money (we will keep silent about the powder). After the weight change, there was also a change of clothes for three sizes:

Today I have lost 26 kg: I was 106 kg (the second stage of obesity!) and he reached the first cherished milestone of 80 kg! Here is a chart of the miraculous healing:

My next goal is 75 kg. by spring, by the end of May 2014. For those who are discouraged that it is very difficult to lose weight after 40 years – do not believe it! I am now 45 years old, my height is 175 cm. I could, and anyone can! And more. I will say the most important thing about willpower:

I'm very lazy myself! There is no willpower – there is “mind power”. We just need it to click there!

All fat people and food lovers suffering on the topic of excess weight, you just need to understand that the existing way of life is slowly burying yourself in fat, in the ground, if you want. Obesity (and smoking and alcoholism) is a real voluntary disability.
That's how these wonderful 12 months have passed.
