You have come from the street, and you are still cold. The fastest and most banal way to warm up is warm, but not hot tea with lemon. Best of all — green tea with honey and lemon. If there is milk in the house, heat it up and add a tablespoon of honey. It is absolutely wonderful to drink warm tea with ginger.
If you feel that you are getting sick, you urgently need a good dose of vitamins and a hot shower. During the shower, it is useful to do self-massage: this will additionally disperse the blood and relax you. A hot bath will not help much here: after a while there will be a feeling that the body is in cold water. If there are problems with the shower, make at least a foot bath.
And finally, if you are not going to leave the house anymore, cook mulled wine. Abuse, of course, is not worth it. But wrapping yourself in a warm blanket with a cup of mulled wine in your hands and contemplating the no longer dangerous space outside the window is not only useful, but also romantic.
Contrary to popular belief, it is impossible to bask in alcohol. Especially if you are outside in frosty weather. Yes, the first 50 grams of something strong will normalize blood circulation, dilating blood vessels, and bring a feeling of warmth. But if you take more, the blood flow in the skin increases and the body's heat output increases greatly. Thus, as a result of taking alcohol, there is a chance to freeze rather than warm up.
If you just feel that you have a cold, you should not immediately take medications that relieve symptoms (like Coldrex or Teraflu). Firstly, they really won't cure you, but just make your fate a little easier. Secondly, all such powders contain a large amount of paracetamol, and it destroys the liver quite strongly. Moreover, for a very unpleasant poisoning with paracetamol, about four tablets are enough.
In short, if you are going to drink a symptomatic drug, then do it only as a last resort. It is better to try simple and harmless ways to keep warm, which are described above.
