For many of us, visiting a restaurant is still not something ordinary. At such moments, I want to afford both, and that tomorrow there will be no consequences. But, as you probably already noticed, there are high prices on the menu, but there is no information about calorie content, so arm yourself with it in advance.
Here are the mines you may encounter:
- Soups and especially mashed soups. People like to think of soups as healthy food, but in fact, almost all restaurant soups are loaded with a huge amount of fat and cholesterol. One serving of mashed soup can contain 11 grams of fat, which is 17% of the daily norm.
- Onion «flower» and other fried delights. No one thinks that fried onions are healthy to death, but you probably have no idea how harmful they are. When cooking, the liquid in the products is completely replaced by fat, and the larger the pieces, the worse it gets, because of the need to fry from all sides. Therefore, an onion flower can contain 2710 calories alone. More than a whole meal, even if you split it into four.
- Cupcakes. Small cupcakes are probably not the worst thing you can eat when you leave home. But even a low-calorie cupcake from Starbucks alone gives you 380 calories. And it's low-calorie.
- Full portions of meat. Today, a restaurant portion of meat can be 4-8-10 times more than what is recommended for a person to eat in one sitting. Therefore, any portion of meat over 170 grams should be accompanied by a tablet to lower cholesterol.
- Soda. The problem with soda is not even that it is harmful, but that because of the low price we simply do not notice how much we drink it without getting rid of thirst at the same time. Think about 6 tablespoons of sugar in a jar of soda, maybe it will force you to limit yourself to one glass.
