We constantly tell you about how to sit at the computer, how to choose a table and how not to injure joints during long sitting, but we completely miss the topic of working with modern tablets. Behind them, people take the most bizarre poses and make a determined attack on their body, sticking for many hours in one pose. And they also turn on the screen too brightly. Here are the simple rules of how to work at the tablet and stay healthy.
If you work with a tablet lying horizontally, you risk injuring your neck, which is assigned an increased load. If you hold it vertically, then the load falls on your wrists. It is best to place it at an angle of 30 to the table for typing and browsing. If you are reading, then keep it just in the most comfortable position for the body, but not on the weight. Because modern tablets weigh quite a lot, especially iPad, and with prolonged work you exert a large static load on the joints.
Once when working with a computer keyboard, I was asked "Why are you hitting the keyboard?" Indeed, when working with a conventional keyboard, it is necessary to put pressure on the keys, not excessive of course. When working with on—screen keyboards, you do not need to put pressure on them at all - just touch the keys. Therefore, do not overdo it and use these advantages. If you type a lot of text, then buy a bluetooth keyboard. For example, I use this one for short trips, to which I take only an iPad with me:
So they do not get tired and do not get injured. In straight wrists, blood circulates normally through the fingers and you will not get carpal tunnel syndrome.
If you read a lot, then increase the fonts to the maximum for your perception. If you read quite a lot, then try the electronic paper "readers". They are very cheap today and it is a pleasure to read from them. You can also try the F.lux program, which adapts the light temperature and brightness to your lighting and time of day. We talked about this program in relation to PC and Mac, but it is also available for iPad, but only using Cydia.
If you don't "break" the gadgets, then just think about its current brightness more often — very often it is too big. It is harmful to the retina of the eye.
