For the recent premiere of the GTA VI trailer, the editors of IGN's major gaming media compiled Every GTA Game Ranked your rating of the best games in the series.
The journalists gave the first place to GTA V. The reason for its continued popularity is the huge scale of the central location, Los Santos. This is one of the largest and most detailed maps of the open world in games, where users are waiting for limitless possibilities — from skydiving to street racing — and an exciting cinematic plot.
The second place went to San Andreas, which was a turning point for the series, adding many new features. She is also praised for the best GTA storyline to date, the rich settings of the main character, an expanded monetary system with dozens of stores, numerous mini-games and a dynamic system of gang fights.
On the third line is the iconic GTA: Vice City. In terms of scale, San Andreas, of course, eclipsed it, but Rockstar's references to "Miami Police" and "Scarface" made this game one of the most stylish in the series.
