"There are no games for Mac". This is what the standard answer to the question of what toys you can play on a Mac looks like. And here it is...
And it's not necessarily monsters like Prey that require a powerful graphics card. There are a lot of really interesting toys that you can play on an old Mac Mini or Macbook.
One of these games is free Plasma pong, a kind of classic Pong in which the action takes place in a plasma-filled environment. In addition, both rackets are capable of both drawing in and emitting plasma jets, in which the ball moves. As it is easy to guess, the gameplay in this scenario is radically different from the banal "estimated the angle of flight, brought the racket" and acquires tactical elements, because you will have to drive the ball along tricky trajectories, creating static areas or turbulent flows in the right areas, not forgetting that the enemy will try to do the same. Excellent graphics that a static screenshot cannot convey, an excellent soundtrack performed by E.S. Posthumus and hurricane gameplay will not let you get bored for a considerable time.
Unfortunately, at the request of Atari, which owns the Pong trademark, the game was removed from the official website (the author promises that it will return in a new guise soon), which, however, does not prevent it from being found online.
