Honor announced Honor Magic6 series debut with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, up to 1TB storage and 180MP periscope / GSMArena the new generation of flagship smartphones is Magic6. The range consists of a standard model and a Pro version. Traditionally, for the brand, the models differ only in cameras and batteries, the rest of the characteristics are identical.
Both new items received 6.8-inch AMOLED screens with a variable refresh rate of 1-120 Hz (LTPO) and a resolution of 2800 × 1264 pixels. Peak brightness is 1,800 nits in automatic mode and up to 5,000 nits for HDR content. The cutout in the screen is different: Although both models have a 50 MP front camera, the Pro model also has a depth sensor for face unlock. The camera module with an updated design is located on the back panel. The Magic6 Pro received a 50 MP main camera with f/1.4-f/2.0 aperture positions, a 180 MP periscope (2.5x optical and 100x digital zoom) and a 50 MP ultra-wide angle camera. The Magic6 also has a 50 MP main module, but with a fixed aperture of f/1.9, plus a 32 MP TV speaker (2.5x optical and 50x digital zoom) and the same 50 MP ultra-wide angle camera as the Pro.
Honor Magic6 received a 5,450 mAh battery with 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The Pro version has a 5,600 mAh battery, 80W wired charging and 66W wireless charging. Out of the box, both smartphones run on the new MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14. Other features include IP68 dust and moisture protection, Wi—Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3. The Pro version supports satellite communications, but only in China.
In China, both models will be released on January 18, the prices are already known.
