The British company Dyson has introduced a new robot vacuum cleaner 360 Vis Nav. He has become smarter and more agile compared to his predecessors.
The Dyson 360 Vis Nav is "twice as powerful as any other" robot vacuum cleaner, the manufacturer notes. The device received a "high—level processor" - it "thinks and adapts" according to the data collected by its 26 sensors. Thanks to these sensors, it easily bypasses obstacles and recognizes walls. The vacuum cleaner is equipped with two cheeks: the main one in the full width of the case and an additional one with a side drive. Thanks to these assistants, he is able to clean in corners, at the edges of furniture and near baseboards. Copes with the processing of carpets.
The main one is made of three materials: soft nylon (for large debris), carbon fiber threads (for fine dust) and hard nylon bristles (for carpet cleaning).
And thanks to its compact shape, the device can get under furniture with a gap of up to 10 centimeters. Previous models are larger and therefore are not able to clean up in most hard-to-reach places.
The vacuum cleaner uses a proprietary localization and mapping system (SLAM). The built-in camera and a number of different sensors allow him to see the surrounding space 360 degrees. And thanks to the LED elements, he is not afraid of the dark.
The device is powered by a built-in battery. One charge is enough for 50 minutes of cleaning.
However, this smart vacuum cleaner has two serious drawbacks: it does not know how to wash floors and self-clean. At the same time, it will cost a lot. In Australia, for example, 2,399 local dollars (≈127 000 rubles). Prices in other countries are still unknown. The Dyson 360 Vis Nav will go on sale on May 25.
