In the Chromium Gerrit code collaboration software we noticed a description of a new feature for the Chrome browser: the ability to close tabs with a double click. So far, the task is in progress, so there is no corresponding checkbox in the list of experimental functions yet, even in Canary.
Now Chrome allows you to close the active tab by Ctrl +W (or ⌘ + W on Mac), but to close other tabs you need to hit the small cross, or use the right mouse button and the context menu. If there are many tabs open, the task will require enviable accuracy and patience. Double-click works much easier and faster.
Last year, a similar feature was added to Edge Canary. It is not yet known when it will be available in Chrome.
