The CVE-2023-3079 bug in the JavaScript V8 engine allows you to remotely access someone else's computer through a specially created HTML page. Google does not disclose technical details to minimize risks.
The emergency patch will be distributed to all users within a few weeks. However, the company recommends not waiting for an automatic update and updating manually at any convenient time. To do this, go to the Chrome menu, open the "Help" there and go to the "About Google Chrome" section. To complete the update, you need to restart the program.
Recall that this is the third zero-day vulnerability in Chrome this year.
